Since she got hold of a camera in her late teens and began capturing the world around her on film, Christina has been developing visual representations with a central focus on service, society, and aspects of cultural contrast and imagery. She graduated with a BA in Liberal and Peace Studies from College of St. Benedict/St. John's University in Minnesota in 2003, served on a number of projects combining the arts and human rights education, then formalized her passion for photography by completing a year long program the International Center of Photography in New York City in 2007.

Christina has been consistently engaged as a vehicle for social change for the past five years. She has received a number of awards and fellowships, such as the Upper Midwest Human Rights Fellowship in Bangkok, Thailand and a second Upper Midwest Human Rights Fellowship in 2005 to participate in a program with the International Institute of Peace Education in Rhodes, Greece. She has participated in educational service projects and documented her travels in countries such as China, Mexico, and Thailand. She has also documented her interest in culture, identity, community and social awareness through presentations on arts and human rights education in both the Minnesota and the New York City public school systems.

Currently she is working as a freelance photographer in New York City.
